Survivors of GBV experience a range of health, psychological and social challenges. They need care and support to deal with the shame, guilt, fear, depression and other responses to the trauma they have experienced. Stakeholders recommend that GBV services include support and counseling in safe spaces and trusted community structures that women and girls can lean on without judgment to boost their healing. The report looks into the importance of psychological counseling sessions for GBV survivors
