Sarah Apenkroh is a broadcast journalist with over 12 years experience in active journalism.

A self-motivated young lady with good communication skills, hardworking with a cultured personality who remains confident even when working under pressure.

She aspires to be one of the most sought after professionals in her field of endeavor with passion
in reporting on issues relating to Gender, Health, Human Rights and Social Justice.

She is currently working with Media General Ltd. as a broadcast journalist with experience in
News Reading on 3FM and a Reporter for all its conglomerates.

She has also worked as a Newsreader at Sena Radio in Tema.

Sarah is currently pursuing a master’s degree in development communication at the Ghana
Institute of Journalism.

She holds a B.A in Public Relations and a Diploma in Communication Studies all from the
Ghana Institute of Journalism.

Sarah also holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management from ICM-UK.

Her passion for reporting on Gender issues won her the Award of the Ghana Journalists Association 2020 Gender Responsive Reporter of the year ((Gifty Afenyi Dadzie Category)). It was based on a documentary she did on trans-border practice of FGM between Ghana and its neighboring countries.

She is a MCBIRD fellow recognized for her reports on issues regarding PWDs.

She is also a member of the BOSCH Alumini Network.

She has had series of training programs including: Making your media matter: social impact strategy to fight gender based violence Masterclass with American Film Showcase Envoy Lina Srivastava, BBC Training on Fake News, Penplusbytes virtual workshop on reporting on Covid- 19 issues and CSOs Platform on SDG virtual training program on Covid-19 reporting. 

She was a mentor at the 2019 Barcamp in Accra (Career Shop and Guidance).
She Speaks English, Akan, Ga and Adangbe.
