Justina Ashishana

Justina Asishana is a data and investigative journalist passionate about a solutions approach to news reporting. She is based in Edo state, Nigeria and serves as the Niger state Correspondent of The Nation Newspaper (Nigeria).

She has worked with a variety of Nigerian media outlets including the International Center for Investigative Reporting (ICIR), the Wole Soyinka Center for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) and Premium Times Nigeria. An avid fact-checker, Asishana’s work has focused on combating misinformation and fake news in the media. She is a recipient of the Report Women Network fellowship and the African Science Literacy Network fellowship.
